Privacy policy

The short version

Blackjack Boogie has no accounts, no ads and no real money. The game sends play data so we can balance it and fix bugs. We never sell it or share it for advertising, and you can turn it off at any time with Share play data in the game's settings.

This website

blackjackboogie.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time to run and protect the site.

What the game sends

While Share play data is on (it starts on), the browser game sends the following to PostHog, the analytics service we use:

The game never asks for your email, your real name or any payment details, and it has nothing to buy.

What stays on your device

Your saved run, records and settings are kept in your browser's storage and are never sent to us. Clearing the site's data in your browser deletes them.

Why we collect it

To see how people play: which rounds are too hard or too easy, where players get stuck, and what breaks. That is the only use. We don't sell play data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except PostHog, which stores and processes it for us in the United States.

How long we keep it

Session replays are deleted after 30 days. Other play data is kept while it helps us balance the game, and is deleted sooner if you ask.

Your choices

Children

Blackjack Boogie is set in a casino and isn't made for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has sent us play data, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

This policy covers the browser game and this website. When the game comes to Steam or to phones, or what it collects changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
